Representative Hudson’s Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act (H.R. 38) Passes House, 231-198
Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08), author of the bipartisan Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act (H.R. 38), released the following statement after the bill passed the House, 231-198:
“For the millions of law-abiding citizens who lawfully carry concealed to protect themselves, for conservatives who want to strengthen our Second Amendment rights, and for the overwhelming majority of Americans who support concealed carry reciprocity, Christmas came early,” said Representative Hudson.
This bill is one of the most important pro-Second Amendment measures in Congress, with some supporters calling it the greatest gun rights boost since ratification of Second Amendment in 1791. Last week, 24 state attorneys general, America’s highest-ranking law enforcement officers, sent a letter to Congress asking representatives to support H.R. 38.
Earlier today, Representative Hudson spoke on the House floor to urge support and has appeared on FOX & Friends First and Fox News @ Night to talk about his bill.
