Since 1986, Sandhills/Moore Coalition for Human Care has been working to alleviate hunger and financial strains of struggling households in Moore County. Each year, the Coalition provides food to almost 7,000 residents, including thousands of children who might otherwise go hungry. On March 3, 2019 the Coalition will host an Empty Bowls event from 12:00-2:00 pm at the Country Club of Whispering Pines to help raise awareness and funds to fight hunger in Moore County.
