A single vehicle accident injured one person early Saturday morning outside of Aberdeen after a Suzuki Reno passenger car reportedly ran off of the road striking a group of trees.
Emergency responders were dispatched at 4:30 am to the area of Indiana Avenue near NC Highway 211 for a vehicle accident.
The first arriving fire unit reported one person laying on the ground beside of the vehicle.
The adult male victim was transported by ambulance to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital with injuries reported as not life-threatening.
Indiana Avenue was blocked to traffic in both directions in the area of the 2600 block while the injured man was assisted and debris could be removed from the roadway.
Responding to the incident were units with Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, Aberdeen Police Department, Moore County Sheriff’s Department, and the NC State Highway Patrol.
The accident remained under investigation by the NC State Highway Patrol as of this report.
