Emergency responders were called to a house fire in Robbins Thursday afternoon. The structure fire was reported around 2:00 PM at a home in the 300 block of NC Highway 705 near downtown Robbins.
Firefighters were on the scene minutes after receiving the call and reported smoke coming from a single story home. The fire was brought under control in less than 30 minutes, however officials remained at the scene ejecting smoke from the house and investigating the fire into the afternoon.
One lane of NC Highway 705 was blocked to traffic by multiple emergency vehicles while the fire was extinguished and officials worked to determine the cause of the blaze.
Responding to the mid-afternoon fire were units with Robbins Fire & Rescue, Westmoore Fire & Rescue, Highfalls Fire & Rescue, Seven Lakes Fire Department, Moore County EMS, Moore County Fire Marshal’s Office, Moore County Sheriff’s Department, and the Robbin’s Police Department.
There were no injuries reported in todays fire. The cause of the blaze remained under investigation as of this report.
