Sheriff Ronnie Fields announces the arrest of a Biscoe man for a larceny that occurred in northern Moore County.
On March 22nd, 2019 the Moore County Sheriff’s Office received a report that timber had been cut from property without the owner’s permission. Several acres of land had all the timber cut from it and the victim had not spoken with anyone about cutting the timber. As a result of the investigation that followed, an arrest was made in the case.
On April 15th, 2019 Detectives arrested James Wayne Richardson Jr, 26, of Biscoe, North Carolina. Richardson was charged with one count of Misdemeanor Cut/ Injure/ Remove Timber of Another, and one count of Felony Obtaining Property by False Pretense. He was confined to the Moore County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond and is first scheduled to appear in District Court on April 25th, 2019.
