Sheriff Ronnie Fields announces the arrest of two for charges related to the sexual assault of a minor child that occurred in the Seagrove area of Moore County.

The Moore County Sheriff’s Office received information of the possible sexual assault of a child that occurred in the Seagrove area of Moore County. Detectives investigating the case, with the assistance of the South Mountain Moore County Child Advocacy Center, determined the assault occurred in mid-April, 2019. As a result of the investigation, warrants were obtained on the mother of the child as well as a male suspect.

Angel Rose Brown

On May 8th, 2019 Detectives arrested Angel Rose Brown, 37, of Seagrove, North Carolina. Brown was charged with one count of felony Child Abuse by Allowing a Sexual Act to be Committed and one count of misdemeanor Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. She was confined to the Moore County Detention Center under a $75,000 secured bond and is first scheduled to appear in District Court on May 23rd, 2019.

Harley Ray Brown

On May 8th, 2019 Detectives also arrested Harley Ray Brown, 17, of Seagrove, North Carolina. Brown was charged with: one count of felony First Degree Statutory Sex Offense, one count of Crimes against Nature, and one count of felony Indecent Liberties with a Child. He was confined to the Moore County Detention Center under a $75,000 secured bond and is first scheduled to appear in District Court on May 23rd, 2019.
