The Hoke County Sheriff Office; Sheriff Hubert A. Peterkin announces on Tuesday May 28, 2019 Hoke County Deputies were notified of online threats of a school shooting. Hoke County Detectives immediately began their investigation.
On May 29, 2019, Jarell Marquise Jackson was charged with Communicating a Threat of Mass Violence on Educational Property and Making a False Report Concerning Mass Violence on Educational Property.
Jarell Marquise Jackson was taken in front of the Hoke County Magistrate and received no bond due to the charges.
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
