Adam Anthony White was found guilty Friday in Moore County Superior Court for the murder of Wesley Allen Swinnie in the parking lot of the Aberdeen Burger King restaurant in 2013.
The trial began Monday morning and lasted throughout the week. According to courtroom observers White was found guilty by a jury of First Degree Murder and was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
The guilty verdict comes almost four years to the day after the August 17, 2013 incident in which White reportedly shot Swinnie in the parking lot of the business.
The Aberdeen Police Department was the lead investigating law enforcement agency. Representing the state at trial was ADA Peter Strickland with the Moore County District Attorneys Office.
Additional information is expected to be released by the District Attorney’s Office and we will update readers as further details become available.
