Moore County Sheriff Neil Godfrey announced the drug arrest of Thomas Hinton Jr., following a probation-search in Southern Pines, North Carolina.
On June 7th, 2018 the Moore County Sheriff’s Office along with North Carolina Probation and Parole conducted a probation-search of 2206 North May Street, Southern Pines, North Carolina. During the search of the residence, deputies seized 70 dosage units of Suboxone-(Buprenorphine and Naloxone) and drug paraphernalia; total street value of the seized drugs is approximately $700.00.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Thomas Stephen Hinton Jr, 60 years of age of 2206 North May Street, Southern Pines, North Carolina.
Hinton was charged with: Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule III Controlled-Substance, Maintaining a Dwelling for the Storage of a Controlled-Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and the Simple Possession of a Schedule III Controlled-Substance.
Hinton was placed in the Moore County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center under a $50,000.00 Secured bond and given a June 26th, 2018 District Court date.
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
