The Aberdeen Police Department arrested a home health care worker from Pinebluff Wednesday on charges that included exploitation of a disabled elderly person that was in his care.
Officers arrested David Windale Horton, age 38 from a Clyburn Way address in Pinebluff on charges that included Exploitation Of A Disabled Elderly Person, Identity Theft, and Obtaining Property By False Pretense.
According to police officials Horton had been withdrawing funds from the victim’s bank accounts as well as making charges to credit cards totaling approximately $15,000 at this point in the investigation.
After being arrested Horton was transported to the Moore County Detention Center in Carthage where he was held under a $50,000.00 secure bond. His first scheduled date in Moore County District Court for these charges is September 25, 2018
