The Southern Pines Police Department announces the arrest of Adam Marcell Lagrant Bronson, 31 years of age, of Raeford, North Carolina, for the following charges: Assault on a Female, Communicating Threats, Possession of Marijuana, Carrying a Concealed Firearm and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
On October 10, 2018, at approximately 3:15 pm, officers from the Southern Pines Police Department observed Adam Marcell Lagrant Bronson inside Brookside Park Apartments in the 1000 block of Richards Street. Officers were aware that there was an outstanding arrest warrant for Adam Marcell Lagrant Bronson for the charges of Assault on a Female and Communicating Threats. Officers placed Adam Marcell Lagrant Bronson into custody for the outstanding arrest warrant.
Following his arrest, Adam Marcell Lagrant Bronson was found to be in possession of a .380 semi-automatic pistol. Adam Marcell Lagrant Bronson has two prior felony convictions one of which involved a firearm.

We will be seeking the assistance of our Federal law enforcement partners to adopt yet another felony firearm case for Federal prosecution. Adam Marcell Lagrant Bronson appeared before a Moore County Magistrate, and was subsequently incarcerated in the Moore County Detention Center without bond, pending a hearing in Moore County District Court on October 23, 2018.
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
