Sheriff Neil Godfrey announced the arrest of Robert Michael Collins passing counterfeit money at local businesses in the Vass area of Moore County.
On October 12th, 2018 the Moore County Sheriff’s Office received a report of counterfeit money being passed to purchase items at a local convenience store in the Vass area of Moore County. Deputies investigating the case identified Robert Michael Collins and a sixteen-year-old female as suspects.
On October 24th, 2018 Robert Michael Collins was located and arrested for charges related to this case. He was taken to the Moore County Detention Center and held on a $20,000 secured bond. Collins is scheduled to appear in Moore County District Court on November 13th, 2018.

Charges: Felony Possession of Counterfeit Instrument / Currency, Felony Possession of Five or more Counterfeit Instruments / Currency, Felony Attempting to Obtain Property by False Pretense, Felony Obtaining Property by False Pretense.
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
