A second man has been taken into police custody Friday afternoon and police continue to search for two more possible suspects for an armed robbery that occurred on Saturday October 27th just after 8:30 pm in Aberdeen.
Law enforcement units were called to the Tobacco Smoke Shop on NC Highway 5 beside of the bowling alley for a report that two males had entered the business wearing mask and armed with handguns.
According to Aberdeen Police Department Deputy Police Chief Carl Colasacco, an undisclosed amount of money was taken during the robbery and one of the stores employees was struck with a gun by the suspects.
Today Aberdeen Police arrested James Howard Campbell III, 21 years old from a West Michigan Avenue address in Southern Pines in connection with this robbery.
Campbell was charged with Conspire To Commit Robbery With A Dangerous Weapon and Accessory After The Fact.
He was transported to the Moore County Detention Center in Carthage where he was held under a $325,000 secure bond. His first scheduled appearance in court is on November 13, 2018.
