After numerous recent vehicle breaking and entering incidents in the Lake Pinehurst area, detectives and officers with the Pinehurst Police Department and Moore County Schools Police began a detailed and thorough investigation.
This investigation led to a search warrant executed by Pinehurst Police Department officers, and several items from the crimes were recovered. An arrest warrant was issued and the suspect has been taken into custody without incident.
According to Pinehurst Police Department Deputy Police Chief Glenn Webb the suspect who was taken into custody is under the age of 18, so the persons identification is not being publicly released. The suspect was charged with 20 felony counts of Break & Entering Into A Motor Vehicle and 1 count of Larceny From A Motor Vehicle for incidents in the area of Diamondhead Drive and Beryl Court that occurred on December 31, 2018.
The suspect was released into the custody of parents under a $50,000.00 unsecured bond.

All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
