The Moore County Sheriff’s Department arrested a third suspect Saturday in regard to a fatal shooting that killed one person and injured a second person outside of Cameron December 29th.
On January 5th, 2019 Moore County Sheriff’s Office Detectives arrested Kenneth Jerome Hobbs Sr, 51 years of age, from Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Hobbs was charged in connection with the shooting incident that occurred on December 29th, 2018 at 118 Helen Lane in Cameron. Hobbs has been charged with one count of Murder and one count of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury.
He was confined to the Moore County Detention Center with no bond pending his first appearance in Moore County District Court scheduled on January 9th, 2018.
George Bernhardt Rodrick Jr from Fayetteville and Robert Lee Gillespie from Cameron have also been charged in this murder and are also being held at the Moore County Detention Center pending their first appearance in court.
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
