Traffic enforcement operations this week in the Pinehurst and Cameron areas resulted in numerous charges.
On Wednesday officers from several of the departments involved in the Sandhills Region 6 Traffic Task Force operated checkpoint and saturation patrols in the Pinehurst area with additional operations conducted Thursday in the Cameron area. The two days of operations resulted in more than 70 charges including one for a person who was charged after being caught driving 92 mph in a 60 mph zone.

No Operators License: 6
Failure To Move Over: 2
Illegal Passing: 2
Stop Sign Violation: 1
Seatbelt Violation: 1
Tag Violations: 12
Inspection Violation: 5
Child Seat Violation: 1
Possession Less Than ½ Ounce Marijuana: 1
Possession Drug Paraphernalia: 1
Unsealed Wine/Spirituous Liquor: 1
Outstanding Arrest Warrant: 1
Participating in the enforcement operations Wednesday in Pinehurst were officers with Pinehurst Police Department, Carthage Police Department, Foxfire Police Department, Moore County Sheriff’s Department, and the Polkton Police Department.
In Cameron on Thursday operations included officers from the Cameron Police Department, Pinehurst Police Department, Carthage Police Department, Foxfire Police Department, Moore County Sheriff’s Department, Laurinburg Police Department, and the Lee County Sheriff’s Department.
