Sheriff Ronnie Fields announces the arrest of one individual after a stabbing that occurred in the Cameron area of Moore County.
On February 13th, 2019, in the early morning hours, the Moore County Sheriff’s Office responded to Oliver Drive in Cameron for a reported stabbing that had occurred.
When deputies arrived at the residence, they located two victims suffering from apparent stab wounds.
Both individuals were transported to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. A suspect, identified as Mariah Faith McBride of Cameron, was taken into custody and transported to the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives arrested Mariah Faith McBride, age 23, of Cameron, North Carolina. McBride was charged with two counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with the Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury.
She was confined to the Moore County Detention Center under a $500,000 secured bond and is first scheduled to appear in District Court on February 28th, 2019.
