(Southern Pines) – On February 20, 2018, the Southern Pines Police Department executed the first of several planned actions bringing to an end a year-long investigation titled “Operation Leader.”
As a result of the first, and subsequent phases of planned activity, the following individuals were arrested: Lee Marvin Harris Junior, age 32, of Aberdeen and Charlotte, North Carolina, Lee Marvin Harris Senior, age 58, of Aberdeen, North Carolina, Lamar Orlando Sealy, age 33, of Southern Pines, North Carolina, Lisa Ann Duncan Hanami, age 31, of Charlotte, North Carolina, Christian Jovonn Terry, age 32, of Southern Pines, North Carolina, Shuanda Bridges Fox, age 49, of Sanford, North Carolina, Cervantes Gomez Gonzalo, age 27, of Misatlanta, Mexico, Lamar Orlando Sealy, age 33, of Southern Pines, North Carolina and Calvin Deangelo Fox age 32, of Sanford, North Carolina.
During the February 20, 2018 tactical operation, the following items of evidence were recovered across multiple jurisdictions in North Carolina: Over twenty (20) kilograms of Cocaine, two (2) pounds of Crystal Methamphetamine, five (5) ounces of heroin, six (6) Firearms (one listed as stolen), in excess of $100,000.00 U.S. Currency, and one (1) 2009 Toyota Venza.
On March 14, 2019, officers from the Southern Pines Police Department arrested 41 year old Robert (Rod) Marvin McRae of Southern Pines, North Carolina, concluding an additional phase of this ongoing criminal enterprise investigation. Robert Marvin McRae was charged with the following twenty nine (29) felony offenses:
Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Cocaine (5 counts), Sale of Cocaine (5 counts), Deliver Cocaine (5 counts), Felony Possession of Cocaine (5 counts), Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver a Controlled Substance within 1000’ of a School (4 counts), Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver a Controlled Substance within 1000’ of a Park (4 counts), and Assault with a Deadly Weapon Causing Serious Physical Injury.
Robert (Rod) Marvin McRae appeared before a Moore County Magistrate, and was subsequently incarcerated in the Moore County Detention Center under an eight million one hundred and fifty thousand dollar secured bond ($8,150,000.00) pending a hearing in Moore County District Court on March 20, 2019.
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
