The Moore County Law Enforcement Officers Association announces the election of its incoming Officers/Board of Directors for 2017. An election was held on December 2, 2016, by the Moore County Law Enforcement Association, the results of this election are as follows:

President – Chief Bob Temme – Southern Pines Police Department
Vice President – Detective Sergeant Bradley Whitaker – Moore County Sheriff’s Office
Treasurer – Susan McCrimmon – Moore County Sheriff’s Office (Ret.)
Secretary – Connie Burns – Volunteer Coordinator Moore County Sheriff’s Office
Sergeant at Arms - Detective Sergeant Josh Craven – Moore County Sheriff’s Office

The Moore County Law Enforcement Officers Association is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization that was established in 1980. The purpose of the association is to promote closer cooperation among the various branches of law enforcement in Moore County. In addition, the further purpose of the association is to promote the welfare and interest of all members to the end that the administration of justice in Moore County may be improved through the interchange of ideas, the study of new methods and the education of its members.

President Bob Temme made the following comments following the election:

“I am privileged to be the President of the Moore County Law Enforcement Officers Association, whose members are devoted to public service and improving public safety. Our organization is extremely proud of its history of positive interaction and unwavering support from the community we serve. While police services may appear fractured geographically, it is well coordinated in Moore County thanks to the efforts of the Moore County Law Enforcement Officers Association.”

Membership in the Moore County Law Enforcement Officers Association is open to all employees working in law enforcement in Moore County. In addition, membership is open to all Moore County retired officers from state, municipal, county, state or federal law enforcement agencies.
