Sandhills Tree 300x250

The past five and a half years since Aberdeen Times first went online in September 2011 we have worked to build a meaningful useful news publication that is a positive part of the community. We continue to grow with more than 26,400 followers on Facebook now and exceeding 6,000,000 pages viewed on our website in 2016.

This year has seen many changes and additions to our publication including adding key new staff members, opening a new business office and the addition of new feature sections as we continue striving to become the best local news source possible.

One of the biggest changes we have been working on behind the scenes is a major upgrade to the website platform that we operate AberdeenTimes.Com on. Sunday morning January 1st 2017 we will be rolling out the new website for our readers improving the way we report the local news, people, places and happenings across Moore County and beyond.

With the website upgrade readers will notice an obvious change in the layout and design of AberdeenTimes.Com with a more functional easy to use website that works great regardless of whether the reader is using a desktop computer, laptop computer, tablet, or mobile phone.

One of the biggest changes readers will notice with the upgraded website is the ability for readers to login and leave comments on the website similar to comments made on Facebook.

Another significant improvement to the website is in the Local Events feature section. The new section allows readers to view events by the month, by the week or by the day.

We are very happy to be adding a Local Coupon & Discounts feature section that will be bringing readers great money saving coupons that can be printed or downloaded to a mobile phone for use at local businesses across the region. This new section will go live with the addition of coupons the 2nd week in January.

During the first few days after the upgrade is made on Sunday we will continue working on the site making sure all of its features are running properly. Please be aware of this and if you notice any problems or glitches with the new site please let us know.

We are very excited about this new website upgrade and the many other new additions and upgrades we will be bringing readers in 2017, and are looking forward to the January 1st website upgrade launch to get things started.

We would like to thanks our readers and our advertisers for the incredible support we have received over the past five years. We are honored to serve our community and look forward to becoming an even bigger part of providing residents the local news in the years to come.

This website upgrade is only one of the many improvements we have planned for 2017. Watch for additional details to come as we rollout new features and introduce new team members to bring you the local news 24 hours a day 7 days a week better than ever before.
