April 15th Nina’s restaurant located in Olmsted Village in Pinehurst celebrates 25 years in business.
Owned by local husband and wife team Kathy and Andy Fradenburgh, the two have spent half of a lifetime creating one of the Sandhills longest continuous running restaurants and building a loyal following of customers all while raising a son and daughter along the way.
The business was first opened north of Pinebluff in 1993 before moving to its current location in Olmsted Village in 2000. Originally opened by Kathy, Andy and Andy’s parents Dick and Katie who both retired from the business in 2005.
Andy is the Chef and runs the back of the house while Kathy runs the front of the house tending to her customers every need.
Andy’s formal training began right out of high school when he served a culinary apprenticeship at Colonial Williamsburg that would lead to a life-long passion for food and cooking.
Nina’s gives customers the ultimate in a fine dining experience. Starting with bread made fresh daily early each morning, the restaurant features a classic cuisine with a touch of Italian and German. Their specialties are Rack Of Lamb and Potato Encrusted Orange Roughy.
