(Pinehurst) - On Tuesday, February 5, the Sandhills Woman’s Exchange, 15 Azalea Road, will reopen at 10 a.m. for their spring season every Tuesday through Saturday. 2019 marks the beginning of the cabin’s 97th year as an Exchange, only one of 20 remaining in the U.S.
(Charlotte – Jan. 28, 2019) The Alzheimer’s Association - Western Carolina Chapter and Alzheimer's Association - Eastern North Carolina Chapter are calling on North Carolinians to turn the state purple for Alzheimer’s on Thursday, March 14th. The date marks North Carolina Advocacy Day 2019 when hundreds of advocates from around the state will convene in Raleigh to support the fight against Alzheimer’s.
In December the Alfred Moore Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution awarded the Community Service Award to Dotty Starling.
Enjoy the internationally acclaimed Ciompi Quartet’s newest member, Caroline Stinson, in her Weymouth Center debut at the next Classically Sundays concert. Stinson and the full quartet perform a special musical concert on February 3rd in the Great Room with guest artist, Alan Ware.
(Southern Pines January 18, 2019) – The Moore County Literacy Council announced today that it has received a grant of $2,500 to support its expanding Motheread program. Motheread is an award-winning family literacy program known for the excellence of its teaching approach.
