Merton R Gundry, 99 passed away Monday, April 29, 2019 at First Health Hospice in Pinehurst after a very brief illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary W. Gundry.

Before moving to Pinehurst some 40 years ago, he lived in Rochester, NY and ran the A. R. Gundry Company with his father and two brothers.

He was an avid golfer, also a very good bowler, loved anything to do with the water, and loved to play cards. He also was a member of the Tin Whistles and took part mentoring and helping you kids learning to play golf through The First Tee of Sandhills.

Mr. Gundry is survived by his daughters, Karen L Eilber, and Sandy Perl (John). He is also survived by three grandchildren, Jeff Litwiller, Kerri DeCola, and J Hammond, along with 10 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren.

He will be cremated and there will be no services.
