Audrey Marsh McPherson, age 86, of Cameron, NC was peacefully received unto Jesus on Wednesday, April 19th in her home surrounded by her family.

Born March 31, 1931 to Oscar and Mamie Marsh of Cameron, NC. Audrey attended Cameron School then graduated from Louisburg College in 1950 where she participated in every club, was chosen for the May Day Court and played on the women's basketball team.

Audrey was a lifetime active member of the Cameron Presbyterian Church where she received the Presbyterian Women Honorary Lifetime Membership Award and was ordained as a deacon in December, 1974.

She served as the Assistant Clerk of Court before retiring from the State in 1992. Audrey's prior employment included Duke University, Sanford Furniture Company, and Moore County Schools.

Audrey deeply loved her family and was a true classy southern lady in every way. She was a gifted gardener, huge Duke basketball fan, and loved life and everyone she met.

Cameron held a special place in her heart, proud and grateful to call Cameron her home and always enjoyed sharing it's rich history and unique charm.

Her home was an open door to all and she embraced all who entered as family. Most referred to her as "Miss Audrey" or "Grandma Audrey". Audrey was loving, kind, strong in her faith, and her outer beauty reflected her internal beauty, simply put, those who knew her could see Jesus through her with every interaction.

She is survived by her four children, John McPherson and wife Rhonda from Florida, Sylvia Caddell and husband Andy, Cameron, Jim McPherson and wife Debbie of Cameron and Mandy Lowe and husband Doug from Greensboro. 19 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
