Gerald Norman Bohan

Gerald Norman Bohan, 86, of Pinehurst, died unexpectedly Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Born May 10, 1931 in Earlington, KY., he was the eldest child of the late John Bohan and Mary (Hooten) Bohan. He was a veteran of the Korean War and earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering at Lawrence Institute of Technology in Southfield, MI. He retired from GMC Truck and Coach where he was a Master Sales Executive.

He is survived by his four children, C. Dianne (Bohan) Weber, of Winston-Salem, Judith (Bohan) Bruening, of Pinehurst, Gregory and Diane (Bone) Bohan, of Boulder, Colo., and Susan (Bohan) and Walter Blackmer, of Lexington, S.C.; grandchildren, Amanda and Jason Hayden, Sarah R. Weber, Michael and Lindsay Bohan, James R. Bruening, Patrick W. Bruening, Sean M. Weber, Kathrynn M. Bruening, Aaron and Kelly Blackmer, Andrea and Carlisle Nelson, and Sandra Bruening; great-grandchildren, Olivia Grace, Thomas David, Alden Michael, Riley Shea, Troy Aaron and Valerie Leigh Anne, his brother, Richard Bohan, and many other loving nieces, nephews and relatives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his devoted wife of sixty four years, Patsy Jean (Miller) Bohan, his beloved grandchildren Kenneth Alan Bohan and Jeffery Joseph Bohan, and his loving sister, Jacquelyn (Bohan) Widner.

A Rite of Interment will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2017 at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Southern Pines.
