There was an accident at US# 1 and Johnson Street early this evening where a fire hydrant was run over by a car. This has caused low water pressure in the area. Authorities are working with the water company to get restored according to Aberdeen Police.
Around 5pm a car struck a fire hydrant at the corner of US#1 and Johnson Street in front of McDonalds damaging the fire hydrant. This caused extensive flooding on US#1 and into the McDonalds parking lot. Traffic was being routed around the area while crews work into the night to make the repairs to the hydrant and restore water pressure.
